The Customer Service Associate provides frontline customer support primarily to dealers, distributors, and other business customers across Toro and Exmark. The role is responsible for order entry and maintenance, customer inquiries, parts research, claims support, and research and resolution of order-related issues. Working across internal teams, locations, and systems, the associate provides accurate information, coordinates next steps, and documents and routes issues requiring additional or specialized support to the appropriate team. 

What Will You Do? 

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

• Serve as a primary point of contact for dealers, distributors, and other business customers through phone, email, and other communication channels. 

• Support recurring Order Services activities, including account maintenance, order exception monitoring and expediting, departmental projects, and other assigned responsibilities as business needs require. 

• Enter and maintain customer orders and process related requests, including order changes, returns, credits, and claims. 

• Provide timely and accurate information regarding order status, shipment tracking, product availability, and applicable policies and procedures. 

• Document customer interactions, actions, and updates in Salesforce to maintain accurate records and support effective issue handling. 

• Assist with part identification, pricing, availability, interchangeability, and related research using established systems, reference materials, and other resources. 

• Research and resolve order, shipment, account, and service-related issues when possible; document and route issues requiring specialized support to the appropriate department or location. 

• Use and maintain team process documentation, identifying gaps and communicating needed updates to leadership to support clear and consistent procedures. 

What Do You Need? 

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements.

• High school education or GED required 

• Strong data entry and system navigation skills required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively and diplomatically interact with and manage customer needs via phone, email and face to face (internal and external) 

• Tactful in conflict resolution situations 

• Ability to manage large workload utilizing multi-tasking, prioritization and organizing skills 

• Must be able to work effectively in high pressure situations in a fast-paced environment 

• Ability to make a valuable contribution to team objectives 

• Must be punctual and demonstrate reliable attendance to support the team and customers 

Other Job-Related Components: 

• This position is based at Toro's Bloomington, Minnesota facility. Following successful completion of training and subject to department eligibility and performance expectations, employees may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week.

• Department coverage hours are 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Individual work schedules are established based on business and coverage needs. 

• Work is performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, temperature, and noise levels common to administrative and operations settings. The role primarily involves computer-based work and customer interaction by phone and email.

• Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hourly pay range is between ​$20 - ​$25​. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package.
