About the Role

Provide technical leadership for Customer Platform, architecture governance, and engineering best practices across both BAU enhancements and strategic initiatives delivered by vendors, nearshore teams, and internal engineering resources. Drive technology standards, solution quality, and operational excellence throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Customer Centricity
Drive customer-first outcomes by shaping and delivering digital platform initiatives that improve end-to-end user journeys. Leverage data, insights, and stakeholder feedback to prioritise initiatives, resolve pain points, and enhance experience quality, adoption, and efficiency. Champion a customer-first culture across platform portfolio and business enablement functions. Ensure all solutions are aligned with customer needs, business goals, and continuous improvement practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership (70%)

• Lead solution design and technical architecture for customer-facing platforms
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to engineering teams across the delivery lifecycle
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions
• Ensure adherence to architecture standards, governance, and best practices
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, cloud, security, and risk stakeholders
• Drive system integration across cloud and on-premise environments
• Contribute to technology roadmap, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  
  

Platform Operations (30%)

• Lead team to monitor system performance for Customer Platform and proactively address issues to minimize downtime; manage incident, problem, and change management processes in alignment with best practices 
• Provide a contact and escalation point for operational delivery matters 
• Oversee routine IT operations and maintenance tasks to ensure service continuity 
• Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases and ensure alignment with business priorities 

Minimum Job Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience in technical leadership, solution architecture, or senior engineering roles
• Strong experience delivering enterprise-scale systems in complex environments
• Hands-on cloud experience (Azure preferred)
• Ideally AI knowledge and experience
• Solid understanding of modern application architecture, APIs, microservices, and integration patterns
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
• Architecture or cloud certifications are an advantage

Technical Skills

• Solution Architecture & Technical Design
  Strong capability in designing scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable digital solutions, including architecture patterns, integration approaches, APIs, and cloud-native technologies.
• Platform Engineering & Technology Delivery
  Proven experience leading the delivery and evolution of digital platforms, ensuring alignment with architecture standards, engineering best practices, security requirements, and operational excellence.
• Technology Strategy & Architecture Governance
  Ability to define technology roadmaps, evaluate solution options and trade-offs, govern architecture decisions, manage technical risks, and drive platform modernization initiatives.
