Summary
As a Custom Software Engineering Senior Analyst-Consultant, a typical day involves designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack enterprise applications using Java, Spring, and React technologies. The role requires modernizing legacy applications, enhancing platform capabilities, and delivering scalable software solutions that meet evolving business needs. The position focuses on backend service development, frontend user interface enhancements, API integrations, and application modernization initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure high-quality software delivery, maintain system stability, and support continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead the design and development.
Drive technical design decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and best practices.
Expected to be an SME, collaborate and contribute effectively to project deliverables.
Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Jakarta Servlet, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
Participate in application modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy libraries and frameworks to supported versions.
Design, develop, and enhance user interfaces using React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs while ensuring seamless communication between frontend and backend components.
Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with enterprise and industry standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues while optimizing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must To Have Skills:

Proficiency in Java, Jakarta EE-Servlet API, Spring Framework, React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
Strong experience in developing scalable enterprise applications and RESTful services.
Expertise in React fundamentals, Hooks, state management, and component lifecycle.
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, and frontend optimization techniques.
Experience with API integration, asynchronous data handling, and form validation frameworks.
Familiarity with Jackson, Apache POI, Log4j2, Hibernate Validator, HikariCP, and file upload handling.
Experience with version control systems, testing frameworks, and modern development tools.
Good To Have Skills: Spring Boot, legacy-to-modern framework migration experience, and banking-financial domain exposure.

Additional Information

The candidate should have 5 to 8 years of relevant software development experience.
A University degree in Computer Science, Banking, or equivalent working experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of secure coding practices, authentication mechanisms (JWT-OAuth), and application security standards is required.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Experience in financial services or banking technology environments will be an added advantage.
