About the role
The Country Director, Australia and region will be ABI's senior accountable leader for the Australia business. The role owns the full P&L, leads the AOP and commercial strategy, and is responsible for translating ABI's growth ambition into a sustainable, partner-led operating model across this country.
The Country Director has one clear country agenda, stronger senior relationships with 3 local partners and new partners, improved route-to-market execution, and a scalable commercial model for Corona and future ABI portfolio growth.
What you'll do:
- Owns the full country economics and makes choices that improve sustainable growth and profitability.
- Builds senior relationships, negotiates priorities and holds partners accountable for performance.
- Turns ABI ambition into clear market choices across brands, packs, customers, channels and investments.
- Designs routes to market and customer models that improve access, control and execution quality.
- Builds long-term brand equity while delivering annual volume, revenue and margin commitments.
- Builds teams, decision rights and routines that raise market capability over time.
- Frames decisions, risks and trade-offs clearly for ABI leadership and partner executives
What you'll need:
- 15+ years of senior commercial, country management, general management, sales leadership or partner-led market leadership experience, ideally in beer, beverages, FMCG or premium consumer goods.
- Proven full P&L ownership, including ability to manage revenue, volume, margin, trade investment and financial delivery across annual and multi-year horizons.
- Strong experience managing strategic partners, distributors, retailers or route-to-market partners at senior executive level.
- Deep commercial capability across AOP, customer strategy, RGM, trade marketing, RTM, portfolio, innovation and performance management.
- Experience leading teams and matrix organizations where influence, governance and clear decision rights are required.
- Australia/New Zealand or APAC market experience is strongly preferred; experience with alcohol, regulated consumer categories or partner-led operating models is a strong advantage.
- Executive communication capability, high ownership, strong judgment and ability to create clarity in complex, partner-dependent markets.
