BNZ Properties is the team within BNZ that creates safe, reliable and effective workplaces for BNZ colleagues and customers across the Bank’s Branch, Partner Centre and Corporate Office network. Within the Properties Team, the Facilities Management (FM) team manages facilities, building services, supplier performance, risk, compliance, and sustainability activity. The Corporate Facilities Manager role sits within the FM Team and brings together the coordination of national facilities works with hands-on Auckland corporate facilities management at BNZ Place Auckland and the BNZ Centre in Hamilton.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity based in Auckland. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly.
What are 5 day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Coordinate the delivery of planned maintenance and repairs.
- Plan and deliver annual and quarterly works schedules.
- Monitor service delivery levels.
- Keep stakeholders informed on works and disruptions.
- Support financial and environmental administration.
What is the team culture and environment like?
The BNZ Properties team is practical, collaborative and service-focused. The environment is busy and varied, with a strong emphasis on helping each other, solving operational issues quickly, and delivering workplaces that support BNZ colleagues and customers.
What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?
The candidate will coordinate all BNZ FM activity, from planning and budgeting through to service delivery. The role is responsible for Auckland and Hamilton corporate facilities operations, including planned and reactive maintenance, building services assurance, value management, risk and compliance, and sustainability reporting. Over the next year, it will focus on improving facilities processes, service quality, data accuracy, and how BNZ manages planned works and workplace changes.
What do we want you to know before you apply?
This is a hands-on facilities role in a complex, multi-site organisation. You will need to be comfortable working with suppliers, systems, stakeholders and operational detail, and you should enjoy being part of a team that makes workplaces safer, smoother and more effective.
You will have a clean, full Drivers Licence and the ability to travel within New Zealand when required for work purposes.
What technical skills / skills are required for this role?
- Facilities, property or workplace operations experience.
- Strong planning and coordination skills.
- Supplier and contractor management experience.
- Practical understanding of building services, including HVAC, electrical, water and automated systems.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Financial administration capability.
- Accurate record management.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, facilities systems and related business tools.
- A full, clean and current New Zealand driver licence.
