About Your Team

Brokerage Operations supports asset servicing and administration across Fidelity's retail investment platform and brokerage services. The Corporate Actions team is responsible for the accurate processing of global corporate events, dividends, asset maintenance and associated client servicing activities.

The team plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance and client asset protection, while partnering closely with Technology, Product, Risk and Operations teams to deliver continuous improvement and automation across the brokerage operating model.

About Your Role

As Corporate Actions Technical Manager, you will act as the technical and operational subject matter expert for corporate actions and brokerage servicing processes. You will own the relationship between Operations and Technology, ensuring systems, data flows and controls support the efficient delivery of brokerage services from asset setup through to client reporting.

You will lead the investigation and resolution of complex operational and technology issues, support strategic change initiatives, and identify opportunities to enhance controls, automate manual activities and improve client outcomes.

The role requires a strong understanding of brokerage operations, system architecture, data flows and regulatory requirements, combined with the ability to influence stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance and third-party vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Ownership & Subject Matter Expertise

· Act as the primary SME for brokerage and corporate actions applications, workflows and data flows.

· Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end brokerage processes, including asset onboarding, dealing, settlement, custody, corporate actions and reporting.

· Maintain technical process documentation, operating procedures, controls and process maps.

· Provide technical expertise and guidance to Operations, Technology and Change teams.

Production Support & Incident Management

· Lead investigation and resolution of complex production incidents and operational issues.

· Coordinate Technology, Operations, vendors and business stakeholders through incident management activities.

· Assess client, operational, financial and regulatory impacts of incidents.

· Drive root cause analysis and ensure effective remediation plans are implemented.

· Embed lessons learned and continuous improvement following incidents.

Change Delivery & Continuous Improvement

· Define and document business requirements for system enhancements and process improvements.

· Challenge solution designs to ensure operational risks and control requirements are appropriately managed.

· Support testing, user acceptance testing and implementation activities.

· Partner with Product and Technology teams to deliver scalable solutions and operational efficiencies.

· Ensure change initiatives deliver measurable business benefit and improved client outcomes.

Data & Controls Oversight

· Maintain oversight of critical brokerage and corporate actions data flows and dependencies.

· Develop and enhance reconciliations, monitoring tools and exception reporting.

· Identify opportunities to replace manual controls with automated controls.

· Monitor control effectiveness and investigate data anomalies and exceptions.

· Support data quality improvement initiatives across the brokerage environment.

Risk, Governance & Regulatory Support

· Support operational risk events, investigations and issue management activities.

· Perform detailed root cause analysis and recommend sustainable corrective actions.

· Prepare papers and management information for governance committees and senior leadership forums.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, audit requirements and internal control frameworks.

· Contribute to operational resilience and risk mitigation initiatives.

Vendor & Third-Party Management

· Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers, including market infrastructure and platform suppliers.

· Challenge service levels, delivery timelines and solution quality where appropriate.

· Drive issue resolution and support strategic enhancements across third-party platforms.

· Monitor vendor performance and associated operational risks.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

· Build strong relationships across Operations, Technology, Product, Risk, Compliance and Audit functions.

· Influence decision-making without formal authority across multiple stakeholder groups.

· Provide coaching and technical guidance to colleagues within the Brokerage Operations team.

· Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and operational risks effectively to technical teams.

About You

You are an experienced brokerage or asset servicing professional with strong technical and operational expertise. You are comfortable operating across business and technology functions, with the ability to analyse complex issues, challenge existing processes and drive meaningful improvements.

You bring:

· Significant experience within brokerage, corporate actions, asset servicing or investment operations.

· Strong understanding of brokerage operating models and end-to-end securities processing.

· Experience managing operational incidents, risk events and change initiatives.

· Proven ability to work effectively across Technology, Operations and Governance functions.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

· Experience leading process improvement, automation or digital transformation initiatives.

· IOC, IMC or similar industry qualification, or willingness to pursue professional development.

Technical Skills

· Strong understanding of system architecture and data flows.

· Ability to identify and process all corporate action and dividend types

· Willingness to share technical knowledge and coach the team

· SQL and data analysis capability.

· Understanding of interfaces, APIs and batch processing.

· Data lineage, reconciliation and control framework expertise.

· Testing, release management and implementation support.

· Incident management and root cause analysis.

· Process automation and workflow optimisation.

· Reporting, dashboard and MI development.

Brokerage Knowledge

Knowledge of:

· Equity and ETF trading.

· Fund dealing and investment platforms.

· Corporate actions and dividends.

· Settlement and custody operations.

· Asset onboarding and maintenance.

· Market data feeds and reference data management.

· Client money and asset protection principles.

· Relevant UK and international regulatory requirements.
