Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Component Engineer located in Taiwan Taipei Wugu Site.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Design and Engineering, this role involves component selection recommendation, key component tech tracking, PSL maintenance, component spec definition, component qualification, failure analysis, etc.

What a typical day looks like:

• Specializes in the selection, evaluation and part level testing of mechanical components (FAN, Relay)

used in product design and manufacturing.

• Ensure components meet technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory

compliance.

• Develop and maintain Flex component roadmap
• Work with R&D to drive suppliers next generation requirements, component alternate

selection and component qualification (internal/external lab)

• Review supplier test and validation reports
• Follow up on component related issues, FA and requalification
• Provide technical support to advanced sourcing
• Work with advanced sourcing in managing lifecycle issues and sourcing strategies, PPL,

AVL, EOL, alternate, new supplier and new component qualification

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical engineering or relevant technical experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in component engineering or technical sourcing similar role in power supply industry
• Understanding of commonly used topology in power supply component industry
• Strong communication and negotiation skill towards component supplier
• Strong drive and influence capability towards internal component technology coordination work and support project activity 
• Fluent in written English Skills, Self-driven and motivation.
• Prefer to having working experience in power company
• Working experience in project sourcing manager or technical sourcing role
