Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-focused individual to join Darktrace’s Sales Compensation team, helping ensure sales commissions and incentive payments are accurate and paid on time across multiple regions.
Whether you are building your career or bringing experience in sales compensation, finance or payroll, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to global compensation operations. You will work with colleagues across Sales Operations, Finance, HR and Payroll, combining accurate data analysis with practical problem-solving to keep processes running effectively.
What will I be doing?
- Administering and processing sales commissions and incentive payments in line with agreed compensation plans and local requirements.
- Using Excel and compensation systems to validate sales performance data, check payment calculations and investigate discrepancies.
- Working with colleagues across teams and regions to maintain accurate information, resolve compensation queries and prepare commission statements and reports.
- Maintaining clear documentation and audit trails, following internal controls and data protection requirements.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, including automation and standardisation, and supporting projects involving systems, reporting and compensation policies.
You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of global compensation processes while bringing your own ideas and experience to improve how they work.
What experience do I need?
We welcome applications from people with relevant professional experience, as well as those earlier in their careers who can demonstrate strong Excel skills, accuracy and a willingness to learn.
You will bring:
- Excel skills and attention to detail: you can organise spreadsheets, use formulas and carefully check data and calculations. Experience with VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP is particularly useful.
- An analytical approach: you enjoy investigating discrepancies, understanding how calculations work and finding practical solutions.
- Clear communication and collaboration: you can explain information, ask questions and work effectively with colleagues across different teams.
- Organisation and initiative: you can manage priorities, meet deadlines and recognise when to resolve an issue independently or seek support.
Experience in sales compensation, finance, payroll or data administration would be valuable, particularly if you have worked with commission calculations or improved operational processes. Familiarity with Salesforce, Xactly or similar systems is also welcome, but previous sales compensation experience is not essential.
This is an opportunity to build on your existing skills, contribute to accurate and reliable global compensation processes, and make a meaningful impact through continuous improvement. If you enjoy working with data, value accuracy and are keen to keep learning, we would welcome your application
