Commercial Treasury Business Partnering
- Act as the primary treasury business partner for Data Center and Project Systems Business opportunities across APAC.
- Engage with Sales, Bid Management, Commercial Finance and Project Management teams from opportunity qualification through project execution.
- Provide treasury guidance during commercial negotiations to optimize cash flow, mitigate financial risks and improve project returns.
- Support commercial decision making through evaluation of treasury impacts arising from contract terms, payment structures and financing requirements.
- Drive treasury awareness within project teams and promote cash-focused decision making.
Bid Stage Treasury Support
- Support bid and tender activities by assessing treasury risks and opportunities during project development.
- Review customer payment milestones, advance payment structures, retention clauses, liquidated damages and security requirements.
- Quantify and price treasury costs including guarantees, letters of credit, financing costs and foreign exchange exposure.
- Support commercial teams in developing customer financing solutions where appropriate.
- Provide treasury approval and risk assessment for major tenders and strategic opportunities.
Foreign Exchange Risk Management
- Identify, quantify and monitor project foreign exchange exposures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and execute FX hedging strategies in collaboration with Corporate Treasury.
- Ensure timely implementation of hedging instruments to protect project margins and cash flows.
- Monitor hedge effectiveness and provide regular reporting on currency risk exposures.
- Support contractual mechanisms that reduce or transfer currency risks to customers where commercially feasible.
Cash Flow Forecasting and Liquidity Management
- Develop and maintain project level cash flow forecasts from order intake through project completion.
- Monitor actual cash performance against plan and proactively identify liquidity risks.
- Partner with project teams to improve milestone achievement and cash collection performance.
- Support regional liquidity planning and forecasting activities.
- Drive initiatives to improve operating cash flow and cash conversion performance.
Bank Guarantees, Bonds and Security Instruments
- Manage all project-related bank guarantees, bid bonds, advance payment guarantees, performance guarantees and warranty bonds.
- Review contractual security requirements and ensure compliance with treasury policies.
- Optimize guarantee structures and costs while meeting customer requirements.
- Coordinate with banking partners and Corporate Treasury on issuance, amendments and release of security instruments.
- Monitor guarantee utilization and banking facility capacity.
Treasury Governance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Rolls-Royce treasury policies, financial controls and governance requirements.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for hedging, guarantees and financing activities.
- Support internal and external audits related to treasury activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable banking, regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Management and Reporting
- Provide regular reporting on FX exposure, cash flow, guarantees and treasury risks.
- Present treasury risk assessments and mitigation plans during project reviews and management meetings.
- Support executive management with treasury insights for strategic decision making.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, banks and external financing partners.
