About the role

We are looking for experienced Commercial Roofing Experts to support an AI project involving the review and analysis of commercial roof imagery captured by drones.

You'll apply your roofing inspection, quality assurance, or construction expertise to review AI-generated results against drone imagery, identify inaccuracies, and help create high-quality labeled data. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving the accuracy and reliability of AI models used to analyze commercial roofs.

What you'll do

• Review drone imagery of commercial roofs and assess AI-generated results for accuracy.
• Identify and correct inaccurate or incomplete AI outputs using your commercial roofing expertise.
• Label and annotate roof imagery according to defined project guidelines.
• Apply professional judgment to identify relevant roofing features, conditions, and potential issues visible in the imagery.
• Perform quality reviews to ensure labeled data is accurate and consistent.
• Provide expert feedback on ambiguous or complex roofing scenarios.
• Help curate a high-quality dataset that can be used to improve AI model performance.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in commercial roof inspection, roofing quality assurance/quality control, roof observation, or commercial roofing construction.
• Strong practical knowledge of commercial roofing systems, installation practices, and quality standards.
• Ability to assess roofing conditions and workmanship from visual information and apply professional judgment consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle discrepancies or quality issues.
• Comfortable working with digital tools and reviewing images on a computer.
• Ability to follow detailed review and labeling guidelines while applying subject matter expertise.
• Must hold a recognized professional roofing certification, such as Registered Roof Observer (RRO), Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), National Certified Roof Inspector (NCRI), NRCA PROCertified Roofing Foreman, or another relevant professional roofing inspection, consulting, or quality assurance certification.
• Prior experience reviewing drone/aerial roof imagery is preferred.

Engagement Details:

• Type: Contract
• Time commitment: Approximately 20–40 hours per week, depending on your availability. We can accommodate different levels of weekly commitment within this range.
• Location: United Sates
