Sobre este puesto de Commercial Lines Intern - Summer 2027 en IMA Financial Group

IMA Financial Group · Presencial · Harrison, NY

What You'll Do:

Interns at IMA are a big deal! We understand how significant your decision on where to spend an internship is and what a positive experience can do to catapult your career. The best experiences provide true immersion in a company’s culture, access to and networking with senior leaders and industry experts, opportunities to apply what you learn through real work that drives real results, and a fun and engaging cohort to share the experience with!

With this in mind, we’ve crafted our program to allow you to engage directly in our values driven culture through company, department, and cohort events, all while being challenged with a blend of learning programs, informative networking sessions with IMA associates, and opportunities to engage in department specific work projects that have real world impact for our clients, our business, and our associates.

As an intern, your time will be divided between a core program shared with the entire cohort and specialized work, projects, and programming tailored to the department you join.

The Commercial Lines team is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for an intern in our 2027 summer program! This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience at the Harrison office, under a flexible 4 days in office, and Fridays virtually.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Support daily administrative operations by completing data entry, preparing documents, scanning paperwork, and organizing files within the agency management system.
  • Assist senior team members with policy servicing tasks—including checking and processing policies, endorsements, audits, and preparing renewal documentation.
  • Pull and organize notifications from carrier websites, such as conditionals, loss runs, endorsements, policies, and other required materials.
  • Handle policy servicing and renewal support by ordering loss runs and experience mods, completing premium and loss summaries, and managing certificate masters and distribution.
  • Respond promptly to routine client inquiries and assist with basic project tasks by following detailed instructions and supporting overall workflow efficiency.

We’re proud of the success many of our former interns have had when they’ve pursued careers as IMA associates’ post-graduation and see our internship program as a key talent pipeline. Because of this, preference is given to students closer to graduation, who demonstrate a curiosity about future employment within our industry.

You Should Have:

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in a program related to one of our host departments (Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management and Insurance)
  • Interest in insurance-related roles; involvement in insurance clubs or Gamma Iota Sigma
  • Students anticipated to graduate in Spring 2027, December 2027, or Spring 2028
  • Previous work or internship experience in a professional services or similar environment
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to problem-solve, think critically, and provide creative solutions
