Are you interested in a co-op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 6 month co-op opportunities at our site in Murrysville, PA. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company. 

Your role:

• Support the day-to-day activities of the department, including strategic, operational, and administrative responsibilities that contribute to continuous improvement goals in a dynamic environment. Collaborate with stakeholders to support departmental processes that indirectly impact Philips' med-tech products.
• Conduct research on relevant topics, industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape to provide insights that support ongoing projects and strategic initiatives. Maintain current knowledge of industry developments while continuously building technical expertise and demonstrating a commercial and growth mindset.
• Analyze data related to departmental projects, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies to support data-informed decision making. Deliver actionable recommendations and assist in preparing accurate, clear reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings by contributing ideas, strategic input, and supporting discussions that drive departmental objectives. Capture detailed meeting minutes, decisions, and action items to ensure effective communication, follow-up, and accountability.
• Organize, maintain, and manage departmental documentation, records, reports, and essential files to ensure accessibility, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Support established departmental processes with a high degree of accuracy while exercising autonomy within defined procedures.

• You are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• You have strong analytical skills and can review data, identify trends, and use insights to support decisions.
• You understand procedures, translate them into requirements and identify opportunities to improve processes.
• You are a curious, hands-on problem solver who learns technical and operational processes quickly.
• You are interested in process improvement, operational efficiency, and implementing better tools and systems.
• You can organize information clearly and contribute to documentation, training content, remediation activities and other project deliverables.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is Bachelor: $26.00-$29.00, Masters: $33.00-$46.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. 

Additional Information

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Murrysville, PA.
