The CNC Brake Press Operator is a full-time position reporting to the Metals Production Manager. This position will be based out of our Manufacturing Facility (located at 2365 192 Street Surrey, BC).
A Day In The Life
- With safety as the primary focus, operate a large footprint double folder and other associated accessories such as loaders, slitter, and decoiler
- Work with programmer to set up tooling and work offsets to help modify and standardize program parameters as required
- Diagnose process issues and communicate clearly with programming and maintenance teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement, documentation, and operator training
- Preform basic quality inspections of raw and finished materials throughout the operational checkpoints
- Work with project teams to produce a quality product that everyone can be proud of
- Assist in creating samples and feasibility studies on products and process of the operation around the brake press
- Adjust tooling, and reset equipment for product change overs
- Tally daily totals and provide reports
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
