Business Unit

WeiXin Group(WXG) is responsible for the construction and operation of the Weixin ecosystem and leveraging Weixin's open platforms such as Official Accounts, Mini Programs, Weixin Pay, WeCom and search function. WXG provides solutions and connectivity for intelligent upgrades across all industries. WXG is also responsible for the development and operation of QQ Mail, WeRead and other products.

What the Role Entails

You will support the reliability, scalability, and security of Tencent’s business-critical systems in a cloud-native environment:

System Monitoring & Incident Response

• Monitor production systems using tools like Prometheus/Grafana; identify and troubleshoot outages.

• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve real-time incidents (with mentor guidance).

Automation & DevOps Practices

• Develop scripts (Python/Shell) to automate deployment, scaling, and recovery tasks.

• Assist in CI/CD pipeline optimization using GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Infrastructure Optimization

• Analyze system performance metrics; propose solutions to enhance reliability and cost efficiency.

• Support cloud infrastructure management (Tencent Cloud/AWS/Azure).

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work with cross-functional teams (Dev, Data, Security) to design SLOs/SLIs for critical services.

• Document system configurations, runbooks, and post-incident reports.

Who We Look For

Education & Background

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related fields.

• Strong foundation in deep learning and machine learning fundamentals.

Technical Skills

• Programming: Proficient in Python and PyTorch / JAX

• Scripting: Python, Shell, or Go

• OS: Linux / Unix system administration

• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP basics

• Cloud Platforms: Experience with Tencent Cloud, AWS, or Azure

• IaC & Observability: Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, ELK, or Prometheus

• Containerization: Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes

Core Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a passion for infrastructure technologies.

• Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Publications at top conferences (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, etc.) .

• Experience training large models or working with distributed systems.

• Experience with multimodal datasets and evaluation benchmarks.

• Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin is required, as the role regularly involves participating in meetings and reviewing written materials in both languages with global teams and with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders at our headquarters in China.

Must-Have Experience

At least one of the following areas:

• Vision-language models (VLMs)

• Large language models (LLMs)

• Video understanding and generation

• Reinforcement learning or imitation learning

• Transformer architectures and scaling laws

• Multimodal alignment (contrastive learning, instruction tuning)

• Agent training (RLHF/RLAIF, planning, tool use)

• Synthetic data generation or simulation environments

• Experience with long-context training or memory mechanisms
