Role Summary

This program is for currently enrolled undergraduate students. The deadline to apply is November 1, 2026.

This role reports to the Client Services Manager.

This onsite position will be based out of our Kansas City, Missouri office.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Are you seeking an opportunity to learn the basics of the financial services industry with a reputable firm in KC?

As an intern, our Personal Financial Solutions and Client Operations (PFSCO) interns will learn about American Century Investments through an initial formal training program and continual training and coaching throughout the program. Interns will then apply that knowledge to significant opportunities and projects.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Complete a robust training program that will immerse you into the world of direct-to-consumer finance.
• Develop a keen understanding of Personal Financial Solutions and Client Operations, including client facing and back-office functions.
• Engage with business partners and leaders across the firm to drive career path and networking opportunities.
• Facilitate positive interaction with American Century’s internal and external clients by providing transactional and service excellence.
• Show independence by applying problem-solving and research skills, and online resources.
• Attend training, team, and department meetings.
• Support a team environment by successfully collaborating with internal clients and business partners.

• Passion for gaining experience within the finance industry and an aim to learn more about client relationships and support

Additional Assets (Preferred)

• A current Junior or Senior Undergraduate student, currently enrolled full-time in any related field.

Internship Structure

• 10 Week Program - June 2 - August 6
• 40 hours a week, between 8am-5pm CST

Employees are required to be in the office on a scheduled frequency. Adherence to this schedule is essential to fulfilling the expectations of the role.
