This role is responsible for managing team performance, providing guidance, and resolving escalated claims issues while driving process improvements and maintaining customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and manage the daily workflow of the claims team to ensure goals and service standards are met.
• Review and approve complex or high-value claims, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Provide coaching, training, and regular feedback to claims representatives to enhance skills and performance.
• Monitor key performance indicators and report on team productivity, accuracy, and timelines.
• Serve as escalation point for claims disputes or customer concerns, resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize claims processes and improve customer experience.
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend or implement efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure documentation and record-keeping meet compliance and audit requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 5 or more years of claims experience within the insurance industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of claims processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS
• Adjuster license required based on state regulations.
• Industry certifications such as AIC (Associate in Claims) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) are preferred.
