Join our SMM site supervisory team and be part of a major project in Changi.
As a Civil & Structural Resident Technical Officer (RTO), you will play a key role in ensuring construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies and potential issues before and during construction.
- Maintain and review records relating to materials, samples, inspections, site equipment, and test reports.
- Monitor contractors' schedules, site progress, and day-to-day construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with the Building Control Act, Codes of Practice, and requirements of authorities such as BCA, LTA, NEA, NParks, PUB, SCDF, SPPG, Singtel, and StarHub.
- Verify contractors' progress payment claims, reports, and submissions.
- Conduct inspections upon project completion and prepare defect lists where required.
Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from a Singapore Polytechnic or recognised institution.
- Registered as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with BCA/IES/ACES.
- National Certificate on Construction Supervision (NCCS) from BCA Academy or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant site supervision experience as an RTO
- Ideally with some Airport/Aerospace/Aviation background.
