Profile Overview

We are looking for a CEO to lead one or more of our HR tech / workforce management SaaS brands into their next stage of growth and scale, with the potential to grow this into a multi-brand roll-up under one leader over time. As CEO, you will own the brand's P&L, strategy, growth, culture, and overall performance, driving both short-term execution and long-term strategic direction. You will work closely with our leadership team, board, and the broader saas.group community to deliver impact across go-to-market, product, operations, and finance. This role is an opportunity to shape the future of a small, highly profitable SaaS business (or cluster of businesses) within a high-growth portfolio, while having the backing, network, and resources of saas.group.

These are product-led, self-serve B2B SaaS businesses serving the German market first, with room to internationalize over time. We're looking for a strong product-led-growth operator and general manager: someone who can grow revenue and product and manage PnL.

Your responsibilities

• Own growth for a product-led (PLG) SaaS business: sharpen the product, drive acquisition and activation, and build a scalable go-to-market engine: marketing and product are the two competencies that matter most here
• Drive operational excellence: build budgets, track KPIs, optimize ROI, and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability.
• Build, coach, and retain a high-performing leadership team; create succession plans and ensure organizational resilience, including across multiple small, complementary brands as the portfolio grows.
• Foster innovation by identifying disruptive trends (including AI), experimenting with new business models, and making data-driven bets that strengthen market position.
• Champion a strong culture: set high performance standards, encourage collaboration, ensure alignment with saas.group values, and embed diversity and inclusion.
• Be ready to take on additional brands within the same space as the portfolio grows 

What you bring to the table

• Proven leadership experience as a CEO, GM, or senior executive in a B2B SaaS HR Tech company, ideally product-led (PLG), with a strong track record of driving growth and building enduring businesses.
• A strong operational and commercial background, first and foremost: you're an operator who has grown a product and a team
• Marketing and product as core strengths: demonstrated ability to grow a SaaS product's user base and revenue through marketing-led and product-led motions.
• Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibility, with proven ability to link financial discipline to sustainable growth.
• Experience leading organizational transformation through process improvements, operational standardization, and adoption of cutting-edge practices.
• A talent magnet: skilled at hiring, developing, and retaining top performers, mentoring future leaders, and creating succession pipelines.
• Strong people leadership: ability to set goals, hold teams accountable, address performance issues decisively, and nurture a culture of excellence.
• Comfort managing more than one brand or business line at once, with the versatility to context-switch across a small portfolio of complementary products.
• Fluent German speaker with strong English, given the initial market focus on Germany; international experience or ambition is a plus as these brands expand beyond DACH.
• Visionary mindset with the ability to communicate a compelling long-term direction that inspires both internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
• AI Literacy & Application: You actively use AI tools to enhance personal productivity and work quality, staying curious about emerging capabilities and identifying opportunities to apply AI pragmatically in day-to-day work.
