Position Highlights
Specialty: Midwifery
Open to experienced providers or new graduates
Position Location: Canton-Potsdam Hospital – Potsdam OB/GYN Practice (Potsdam, NY) and/or Massena Women’s Health Clinic (Massena, NY)
Schedule: 40 hours per week based on current staffing and practice hours
Call Requirement: Typical call includes two 12-hour days of call coverage per week at Canton-Potsdam Hospital; may also be one 24-hour day of call depending on departmental needs
Practice Setting: Outpatient patient care with inpatient responsibilities and hospital rounding
EMR: Epic
Team Structure: Collaboration with St. Lawrence Region Physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, APPs, and clinical support staff as well as other RRH System Physicians and providers

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and may be eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts. In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.

CNM - Certified Nurse-Midwife - American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB), LMW - Licensed Midwife NYS - NYS Office of ProfessionsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
