Your Role: Capstone Rotational Associate, IT Capstone Program
As a Capstone Rotational Associate in Elanco's Information Technology Capstone Program, you will take part in a multi-semester assignment, starting by supporting a specific application or product as part of a centralized IT team. Once that foundation is established, you'll take on side projects with other IT departments, including product management and engineering, giving you diverse, real-world career experience across the organization. This position is limited to students from Indiana University. The duration of this employment will be from May 2027 - May 2028.
Your Responsibilities:
Support the ongoing maintenance and day-to-day operations of an assigned application or product within a centralized IT team.
Participate in discovery and testing efforts to identify issues, validate solutions, and ensure application quality.
Document processes, workflows, and procedures to support consistency and knowledge sharing across the team.
Contribute to enhancement projects that improve the functionality, performance, or user experience of assigned applications.
Build and manage relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to support project delivery and ongoing business needs.
Support organizational change management efforts by helping develop and deliver clear, effective communications.
Explore opportunities to incorporate generative AI tools and technologies into project work, where applicable.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Currently enrolled in a tech degree program at Indiana University that requires a capstone project, e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related major.
Top Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Interest in application development, technology solutions, and/or application support within a large organization
Interest in animal health and/or Elanco’s mission
Experience working on technology, application, or process improvement projects through coursework, internships, or other experiences
Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
Demonstrated leadership experience and a willingness to take ownership of assigned work
