Overview

The AutoCAD Draftsman will be responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining detailed CAD drawings for landscape and construction projects. The role involves supporting engineers with layouts, as-builts, presentations, and project documentation while ensuring accuracy, compliance with project standards, and proper version control.

Your role

• Prepare, revise, and update detailed AutoCAD drawings for landscape and construction works.
• Maintain drawing logs, file naming conventions, and version control in line with project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Support engineers in developing as-built drawings, design layouts, technical presentations, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams to gather information, clarify design intent, and resolve drawing-related queries.
• Participate in the preparation of shop drawings, coordination drawings, and detail enhancements.
• Assist with document control procedures related to drawings and technical files.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings and adherence to internal and external deadlines.

About you

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certification in Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar AutoCAD drafting role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of Revit and/or SketchUp is an added advantage.
• Health & Safety Induction Training.
• AutoCAD and CAD Standards Training.
• Document Control Procedures Training.
• Drawing Version Control and QA/QC Training
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with landscape and architectural standards.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and revisions.
