The Opportunity

The candidate selected for this position will work with the Life Service Business Process Owner team.  They will work with other BPOs and own processes, controls, KC articles and more in support of our In-force Life Co Products.

Within defined guidelines and framework, assists with the development and optimization of business process related solutions for clients. Supports the team in the alignment of process to overall experience strategy and vision.

This job profile is designated as a Sensitive Position. Sensitive Positions are those positions in which individuals have the authority and ability to conduct in-scope activities (movement of USAA or Member funds) as defined within the Enterprise Sensitive Positions Mandatory Time-Away Compliance Policy. Employees in Sensitive Positions are required to fulfill a Mandatory Time-Away (MTA) requirement of 10 consecutive business days each calendar year.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position will be based in San Antonio, TX.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

• Develops, sustains, and manages defined business processes through a structured approach.
• Applies foundational knowledge of the business and assists with alignment of business deliverable processes and capabilities with business needs.
• Gathers information and conducts research to support issues and process activities and assists the team in monitoring the overall health of processes.
• Identifies, owns, executes, enhances, and aligns controls to mitigate operational and compliance risks as it pertains to owned processes.
• Responsible for adhering to management routines and creating reporting that clearly demonstrates the state of process performance. Acts as a resource to the team for development of communication plans.
• Stays current with emerging technologies and evaluates business processes to lead continuous process improvement efforts.
• Lead solution development including business case / benefits substantiation and drive business requirements for process improvement initiatives.
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

• Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.

• Up to 2 years of relevant process consulting or related experience.
• Knowledge and/or exposure to process mapping activities.

What sets you apart:

• 2+ years of experience providing service to members at USAA in Life Insurance, Investments and/or Advocacy
• 2+ years executing management routines and creating reporting for process monitoring and performance
• 2+ years  experience with the development of communication plans.
• Experience supporting team members in a fast-paced operational environment

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $54,550-$97,750.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
