Mission Statement:
To lead the profitable growth of ABB Robotics' Connected Care business in the China market—encompassing services, software, and digital solutions—by driving a cohesive commercial and operational strategy. This role is accountable for overseeing all sales and marketing activities, as well as managing day-to-day service operations, to deliver high-quality offerings that maximize customer equipment performance, uptime, and lifecycle value. The leader will accelerate business expansion through deeper installed-base penetration and a robust go-to-market strategy, including digital market places, leveraging a competitive value proposition anchored in digital connectivity and data-driven services
Main Accountabilities and Duties:
- Implements the global and local business strategy and ensures business development in the area of responsibility.
- Develops proactive strategies/initiatives to increase business profits, customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness, and managing resources and competences.
- Ensures profitable business growth through development of performance targets and leads the Connected Care unit to achieve targets.
- Evaluates the market opportunities and decides appropriate commercial activities on service portfolio to capture the opportunities.
- Drives productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization.
- Delivers operational/project targets (e.g. OTD, lead time, quality, ease of doing business, etc.) to improve net promoter score (NPS).
- Develops a customer centric and continuous improvement culture. Improves service technology, competence, field engineering tools and capabilities, business processes and procedures in line with the business strategy.
- Drives installed-base penetration and lifecycle value growth by developing data-driven strategies to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities, leveraging equipment performance data, usage analytics, and customer insights to proactively tailor Connected Care offerings (services, software, and digital solutions).
- Drives the business growth in tight collaboration with peers from local business lines and global Connected Care management team.
- Ensures Health, Safety and Integrity as a license to operate with adequate processes and controls and sharing functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
- With support from HR, constantly drives people and organization development nurturing talents, engaging and motivating teams within a collaborative environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with 10+ years of experience in the automation industry, 8+ years of experience in leadership role
- Sound financial business understanding, experience in P&L responsibilities
- Demonstrated leadership and experience in managing large industrial equipment installed base
- Commercially savvy in Annual Recuring Revenue (ARR) based business and digital solutions
- Exposure to Physical AI is a plus
- Proven and strong communication, influencing, stakeholder management and change management skills
- Fluency in both Chinese and English, and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
