Sobre este puesto de Business Development Representative en Juno
About Juno
Juno helps students and families get better terms on student loans. We negotiate as a group, so lenders compete for our members' business. We also offer free 1:1 consults with student loan experts who tell families the truth, even when that means a loan isn't the right move. More than 300,000 members have joined, we've helped secure over $2B in loans, and our experts have held more than 30,000 consultations.
The Opportunity
Most families figure out how to pay for college in a few stressful weeks after the award letter arrives. They lean on whoever is in front of them: a school counselor, a college planner, a lender ad. We want Juno to be the trusted resource in that moment. That means working with the schools, districts and advisors families already rely on.
We're building a new team to make that happen. We're hiring Business Development Representatives to open the channels that put Juno in front of college-bound families nationwide.
The Role
You'll work every channel that reaches college-bound families:
- Public school districts and high schools across the country
- Independent college planners and certified college coaches
- The platforms counselors use to manage students
- National associations for schools and counselors
You won't be locked into one lane. When one channel is moving faster, you'll shift your time there, and priorities will change as we learn what works. If that sounds frustrating, this isn't the role for you. If it sounds like fun, keep reading.
What You'll Do
- Prospect and cold call: research your accounts, find the right contact and pick up the phone. Email and LinkedIn support the call; they don't replace it.
- Book meetings and sign partners: the ask is simple and free. Share our resources with families, host a financial aid night or webinar, or let us train your counselors.
- Show up in person: visit top districts, schools and events when it will move a relationship forward.
- Move where the momentum is: shift between schools, planners, platforms and associations based on what's producing results.
- Hand off cleanly: coordinate webinars, financial aid nights and counselor trainings with our undergrad team, who lead them.
- Track everything: log calls, meetings and signed partners in our CRM. Share what's working and what isn't.
- Work the calendar: most families borrow between May and September, so partners need to be live before spring. You'll help us get there.
What You'll Bring
- 1-3 years in sales, business development, admissions, recruiting or another role where you've had to get people on the phone and get to yes
- Comfort with cold calling and real interest in getting better at it
- Clear, natural writing that doesn't read like a template
- The organization to manage hundreds of accounts across several channels at once without anything slipping
- Flexibility: you're comfortable switching focus and priorities week to week without losing momentum
- A bias for action: you try something, look at the results and adjust without waiting to be told
- Bonus: experience in K-12, higher ed, college admissions or financial services, or you've been through the college financing process yourself
Why This Role
- You're on the ground floor of a new team, with room to grow into leading a channel or a team as we scale
- The product sells itself: everything we offer is free for students, families, schools and districts
- Every partnership you sign means real families get honest help with one of the biggest financial decisions they'll make
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $70,000 - $75,000 + variable compensation tied to performance
- Health, dental and vision
- Unlimited PTO
- Remote, with travel to districts and events as needed
