The Business Control Manager (BCM) will support the Platform and Product Controls CORE team (Continuity, Operations, Readiness & Execution) and will be responisble for promoting business continuity, crisis management, and/or operational resilience and facilitating cross-functional collaboration and decision making related to business continuity initiatives. Key responsibilities include working with teams to facilitate and execute deliverables related to business continuity planning, testing, incident management and progress reporting.  Job expectations include providing business continuity subject matter expertise and/or recovery & resolution planning support.  This role is critical in ensuring audit readiness, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving consistent execution across end-to-end engagement activities. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, proactive problem solver, and experienced in managing complex regulatory and audit interactions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The BCM will support as a key contributor within the Platform and Product Controls CORE team (Continuity, Operations, Readiness & Execution). This role focuses on supporting centralized Business Continuity execution for the Specialized Consumer Client Solutions organization, coordinating platform incident management, contributing to operational readiness for major events and Business Continuity Planning & Preparedness.
  • The role will focus on supporting the Platform & Product Controls team with, mitigating risk,  preparing Business Continuity plans for major market events, including but not limited to managing real time live events and proactive approach to major market events. The candidate must be comfortable in developing relationships that are necessary to achieve resolution and project management while navigating a complex organization.  In addition, development and ongoing review of templates, playbooks and other critical information.
  • The position also will help to identify business risk and associates controls in order to mitigate operational, systematic, reputational, operational and credit risk. This individual will help establish communication forums with business partners, identify opportunities to improve internal processes. The candidates will also help establish action plans for initiatives/projects to help move the business forward. The desired candidate will possess a committed focus on meeting client needs while focusing on associate experience and always exceeding expectations.

  • 5–8+ years of experience in financial services

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, or Operational Loss Management.
  • Experience in Business Controls, Digital Operations, or Supervisory functions.
  • Demonstrates leadership, leading through change and process improvements to deliver results
  • Strong analytical capability to drive root cause analysis, demonstrate attention to detail, deliver concise and value-added reporting
  • Demonstrated creative resolution development, problem solving, and follow up skills
  • Self-starter able to work independently, with minimal oversight and guidance
  • Ability to quickly develop subject matter expertise across a broad spectrum of issues
  • Strong organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Must be proficient in advanced MS Excel functions, PowerPoint, Word

Enterprise Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include executing LOB or ECF processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include supporting the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation, and building out actions plans and milestones.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the assessment of the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards
  • Performs monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation
  • Leads the implementation of optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity efforts
  • Manages the performance and productivity of team members that conduct quality inspection reviews
  • Ensures timely execution of QA activities including control execution, case management, and results reporting
  • Manages and reviews all operations front line unit responses for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews
  • Ensures accuracy of data and that relevant information is captured for inspection metrics to support governance for dashboard reporting

Pay range

$104,000.00 - $159,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
