Role Summary

The Business Applications Lead, Finance Systems is a hands-on technical Administrator owner responsible for the implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of Rowan's core finance and procurement systems. Sitting within the Technology Team, this Administrator role serves as the primary technical authority for NetSuite and related financial systems, including the Coupa procurement platform.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% for company gatherings or project sites.

Location: Denver, CO (3-day hybrid in-office role)

Compensation: $125K - $150K (Offers Bonus)

Essential Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance and Procurement stakeholders to translate functional requirements into effective system configurations, workflows, and controls

• Implement, configure, and administer NetSuite and Coupa, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement

• Manage financial system data with an emphasis on accuracy, auditability, and alignment to reporting requirements

• Partner with the Senior Financial Systems Manager on the intake, evaluation, and execution of system change requests, balancing business needs with system integrity and risk

• Oversee sandbox refreshes, release testing, and change management to ensure stable, controlled deployments

• Maintain documentation for system configurations, integrations, controls, and standard operating procedures

• Administer system access, roles, and permissions in accordance with governance, security, and segregation-of-duties standards

• Serve as the technical escalation point for finance system issues, coordinating resolution with internal resources and external vendors

Education, Skills, and Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and administering NetSuite in a cross-functional environment

• Strong working knowledge of NetSuite modules (Advanced Financials, Multi-Book Accounting, OneWorld) and native configuration tools (workflows, saved searches, roles, custom fields, reporting)

• Experience managing financial system data, including data integrity, auditability, and lifecycle considerations

• Experience managing an iPaaS (eg Celigo, Workato) solution for integrations with Netsuite is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to manage change requests and releases in a controlled, documented manner

• Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical configurations into clear process documentation for Finance and Procurement teams

Preferred Experience

• Experience administering financial close, account reconciliation, fixed asset, and lease accounting solutions (e.g., FloQast, NetGain NetAsset, and NetLessor), including support for month-end close, ASC 842 lease accounting, depreciation, CIP accounting, and related NetSuite integrations

• Experience supporting procurement or AP platforms and related integrations. Direct experience with Coupa is a plus

• Familiarity with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, or similar automation tooling within NetSuite

• Experience in environments subject to external audits (e.g., SOC, ISO 27001)

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• NetSuite Administrator certification is a plus but not required
