Building Technicians 

What this job involves: 

As a Building Technician with JLL, you will be the cornerstone of our service delivery. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will take ownership of the building’s operational health, blending hands-on technical expertise with critical coordination duties. This role is vital for ensuring a safe, efficient, and world-class environment that allows our client's business to thrive. What your day-to-day will look like: 

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance. 

• Manage and execute the site's Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule for all critical equipment and assets. 

• Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve incoming service requests via the CMMS ticketing system within defined service levels. 

• Coordinate and oversee the work of third-party vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and project work. 

• Conduct regular site inspections and champion health & safety protocols, ensuring a secure and compliant environment. 

• Manage inventory of essential spare parts, tools, and supplies, and raise purchase orders as needed. 

• Assist with small-scale site projects, office moves, and facility improvements from planning to completion. 

Required Qualifications: 

• 3-5 years of direct experience in building maintenance, with strong skills in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. 

• A technical diploma or degree in a related discipline (e.g., Building Systems, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology). 

• Demonstrated proficiency using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. 

• In-depth knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices. 

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a high degree of attention to detail. 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-centric approach. 

• Physical capacity to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and working at heights. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience working within a high-profile corporate or client-facing facility. 

• Previous experience directly overseeing the work of third-party vendors. 

• Experience with budget tracking and the procurement process, including raising purchase orders. 

• Proven ability to assist in the coordination of small projects or office reconfigurations. 

• Specific trade certifications (e.g., Journeyman, Systems Maintenance Technician/Administrator). 

• Experience deputizing or providing cover for a facility manager or team lead.
