Summary of Duties/Essential Functions:

·         Run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.

·         Install and rebuild pumps and motors; Install and rebuild air compressors, and heat exchangers;

·         Replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls

·         Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.

·         Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

·         Maintains a clean and safe workplace.

·         Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

·         Able to regularly lift items up to 50lbs

·         Physically able to operate electric hand tools, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.

·         Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.

·         Able to work on a ladder up to 28’

·         Able to work on roofs of buildings – able to safely perform overhead work while standing on a ladder.

Education/Experience/Certifications:

• High School diploma, state equivalent, or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of related trade schooling or equivalent, preferred.
• Electrical Journeyman License
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Team player-works well with others

Work Shift: 1st Shift/Morning Shift
