CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows: 

• Keeps lines stocked with boxes so production flows uninterrupted. 

• Tapes and seals the boxes before sending them to the line. 

• Retrieves labels and boxes from Box & Label Service Person. 

• Places labels as needed on the box in the proper location. 

• Threads tape on the tape machine and keeps it in working condition. 

• Reports to Box & Label Service person any problems with the labels or boxes. 

• Keeps the area clean and organized. 

• Correctly labels or stamps packing cases to specific orders. 

• Maintains necessary line supplies on line for uninterrupted production flow. 

• Notifies Service Person when label/box supply is low. 

• Returns extra labels to designated area at shift end. 

• Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: 

• Strapping machine, tape, utility knife, line supplies, stamps, pen, pencil and snips. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The majority of the time is spent in the plant environment and will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. 

• Noise level is loud in the production area and hearing protection is always required. 

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. 

• No job rotation. 

SAFETY EQUIPMENT/TRAINING REQUIREMENT: 

• Bump cap, hair/beardnet, eye protection/goggles, hand protection, hearing protection, safety shoes. 

MANDATORY TRAINING/COMPETENCY TO BE EARNED: 

• Proper lifting, PPE and GMP.
