Major Responsibilities:

• ​​Accounts Receivable Performance Ownership - Own performance outcomes for assigned outsourced AR portfolios, including net collections, yield, resolution rates, aging reduction, and productivity. Continuously assess performance against targets and ensure results align with enterprise Billing Operations objectives. 
• ​AR KPI Translation and Monitoring - Translate enterprise AR strategy and targets into measurable, actionable KPIs for outsourced inventories. Develop, maintain, and analyze performance dashboards and scorecards, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. 
• ​Performance Intervention and Remediation - Serve as the primary escalation point for AR underperformance within outsourced portfolios. Lead root‑cause analysis, coordinate corrective action plans with vendors and internal stakeholders, and validate effectiveness through ongoing performance monitoring. 
• ​Operational Partnership with Billing Leadership - Act as an extension of internal billing and follow‑up leadership for outsourced inventory or inventory worked by workforce partners within Advocate Health billing systems. Ensure business partner execution aligns with Billing Operations priorities, AR forecasts, payer strategies, and evolving operational needs. 
• ​Targeted Account and Process Reviews - Conduct account‑level and workflow reviews to assess performance drivers, technology utilization, queue management, and follow‑up effectiveness. Audit activities are focused on performance optimization, not vendor contract enforcement or regulatory compliance. 
• ​Performance Communication and Governance - Prepare and present performance summaries for billing leaders and outsourced partners. Participate in recurring operational reviews to assess progress, surface risks, and recommend performance adjustments to support AR outcomes. 
• ​Continuous Improvement and Optimization - Identify opportunities to improve AR outcomes through process refinements, technology optimization, standardization, and workflow enhancements. Support pilots and implementation of improvement initiatives impacting outsourced AR performance. 
• ​Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with internal cross‑functional partners (Billing, Follow‑Up, Analytics, Technology, Vendor Management) to ensure outsourced AR activity is fully integrated into enterprise revenue cycle operations.​

Education Required:

• ​​Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) ​ 

Work Experience Required:

• ​​Typically requires 4+ years of experience in revenue cycle billing, follow‑up, AR analytics, or outsourced collection environments.  Demonstrated experience managing or analyzing AR performance metrics . ​Revenue cycle billing and follow-up expertise is required.  ​​ 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. 
• ​​Strong working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle billing, follow‑up, and AR performance drivers
• ​Proven ability to interpret AR data and translate insights into actionable performance improvements
• ​Experience partnering with third‑party vendors or managing outsourced work inventory
• ​High level of analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• ​Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities across multiple AR portfolios
• ​Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
• ​Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes​

• Primarily office or remote work environment​​
• ​​May require limited travel to vendor or enterprise meetings​
• ​​Prolonged periods of computer and analytical work​
