As a Benefits Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, including health and welfare plans, paid time off, retirement plans, and leave of absence coordination. Position Highlights

• Work Location: Onsite in Kalispell, Montana. This position is not eligible for remote or fully remote work arrangements.
• Annual Salary Range: $60,840–$74,880 per year, equivalent to $29.25–$36.00 per hour based on a full-time, 40-hour workweek.

Salary placement within the range is based on relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other applicable factors. Compensation is complemented by a comprehensive employee benefits package.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a subject matter expert for benefit-related inquiries and provide exceptional support to employees across the health system.
• Administer benefit programs such as tuition reimbursement, extended time bank (ETB) programs, and retirement plans in alignment with policy and compliance standards.
• Partner with HR team members, vendors, and payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of enrollments, terminations, changes, and leave-related timekeeping.
• Monitor benefit usage trends, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and assist in benefit communications to promote employee engagement and awareness.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in employee benefits required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and mail merge functions; strong data analysis and tracking capabilities.
• Knowledge of benefit compliance regulations (FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.) is a plus.
• Organized, approachable, and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team player who demonstrates integrity, empathy, and a drive for continuous improvement.
