What you will have an opportunity to do:

 

We are seeking dedicated, energetic, and hands-on Beach Ambassador/Maintenance team members to join our resort. This dual-role position combines exceptional guest-facing service with proactive maintenance and upkeep of our pool and beach facilities. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding customer experiences while ensuring the areas remain safe, clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing in a dynamic, year-round outdoor setting. As a key front-line representative, you will foster positive guest interactions, enforce protocols, and perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks to uphold the highest standards of resort presentation and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Services and Compliance: Verify permits, wristbands, or tickets to ensure guests comply with pool and beach regulations. Clearly explain rules, policies, and safety guidelines while addressing inquiries with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
• Safety Monitoring: Supervise pool and beach areas to prioritize the safety of all patrons, especially children. Respond promptly to emergencies, coordinate with lifeguards or other staff, and report hazardous conditions immediately.
• Facility Upkeep and Maintenance: Perform daily and routine maintenance to keep pool and beach areas pristine, including raking debris, collecting litter, power washing surfaces, minor repairs to furniture/equipment (e.g., tightening fittings, touch-up painting, basic fixes to umbrellas/chairs), maintaining pathways and access points, and ensuring all structures and fixtures are in excellent condition.
• Cleaning and Organization: Maintain cleanliness by restocking supplies (towels, sunscreen, etc.), cleaning restrooms and showers, emptying trash, brushing/vacuuming pool areas as needed, and organizing equipment/storage areas for optimal presentation.
• Customer Assistance: Deliver excellent service by assisting with rentals (beach chairs, umbrellas, pool floats), processing payments, setting up/arranging furniture, and resolving guest concerns efficiently.
• Concession Operations: Manage food and beverage sales, serving snacks, ice cream, drinks, and other items while following health and safety standards.
• Lifeguard and Operational Support: Assist lifeguards by monitoring swimmer safety in pool, oceanfront, or related areas; support basic pool maintenance such as checking water levels, skimming debris, and reporting issues.
• Equipment Operation and Care: Safely operate mobility equipment (e.g., Segway or utility vehicles) for patrolling and transporting supplies; perform light preventive maintenance on operational tools and equipment.

What are we looking for?

• Demonstrate physical endurance for extended periods of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, lifting/carrying supplies (up to 50 lbs), and performing manual tasks in an outdoor, year-round environment.
• Maintain coordination and balance for safe operation of Segway or similar equipment.
• Adapt to varying weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, sun) while sustaining performance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, recreational settings, or general maintenance/handyman work is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols, emergency response, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physical labor.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if needed).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience with basic tools, pool/beach upkeep, or light repairs is a plus.

Work Schedule

• Full-time and part-time positions available, with flexible scheduling including weekends, holidays, peak seasons, early mornings, evenings, or extended hours.
• This position requires a flexible schedule of day and/or evening shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and on-call availability as needed.
• The applicant must meet the minimum requirements and be able to speak, read, write, and understand English (the primary language used in the workplace).
