Job Role: B2B Digital Marketing & Hubspot Specialist
Compensation range: $1,600 AUD - $2,500 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: The B2B Digital Marketing & HubSpot Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of our organic B2B social media, WordPress websites and HubSpot Marketing Hub. The role creates and publishes professional content, maintains accurate and conversion-focused website content, builds and manages marketing campaigns and automation, and supports the generation, nurturing and handover of qualified leads.
The role works closely with the Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, Graphic Designer, sales teams and operational stakeholders in Australia. The successful candidate is expected to work independently within approved plans, brand standards, processes and decision rights, while escalating technical, commercial, customer-sensitive and reputation-sensitive matters.
Key Responsibilities:
WordPress Website Management
- Own routine content administration across our WordPress websites.
- Create, update and publish approved product and service pages, landing pages, blog articles, case studies, news items, team profiles, forms, calls to action, menus, downloads and other website content.
- Use approved WordPress page builders, templates and plugins confidently, applying basic HTML and CSS where appropriate.
- Apply on-page SEO requirements including page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, image alt text, URL structure and content formatting in line with the agreed SEO direction.
- Optimise images and other web assets for quality, accessibility and page performance.
- Conduct pre- and post-publication quality assurance across desktop and mobile, including links, forms, downloads, layout, spelling and lead routing.
- Connect and maintain WordPress forms and landing pages with HubSpot, and verify that submissions, notifications and campaign attribution function correctly.
- Maintain a website change log and promptly identify, document and escalate hosting, security, custom development, integration or complex plugin issues to the Digital Marketing Specialist or external provider. Monitor website accuracy and identify outdated, missing or underperforming content for improvement.
B2B Social Media & Content
- Develop and maintain monthly organic social media calendars, aligned with approved marketing plans and campaign priorities.
- Research relevant industry topics, customer challenges, project applications, competitor activity and market developments to identify useful B2B content opportunities.
- Draft, edit, schedule and publish high-quality organic content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and other approved channels, with LinkedIn as the primary B2B platform.
- Repurpose product information, project updates, case studies, blog articles, photography, video and sales materials into channel-appropriate social content.
- Prepare clear creative briefs and coordinate required social media assets with the Graphic Designer.
- Monitor comments, messages, mentions and engagement; respond to routine interactions using approved messaging and promptly escalate technical enquiries, complaints, sales opportunities and sensitive matters.
- Maintain an approved evergreen content bank and accurate records of content status, approvals, publication dates and source assets.
- Monitor social media performance and recommend practical improvements to content format, messaging, timing and calls to action.
HubSpot Marketing Hub Administration
- Act as the primary day-to-day administrator of HubSpot Marketing Hub within approved governance and access controls.
- Build, test, schedule and maintain marketing emails, forms, landing pages, campaigns, calls to action, lists and audience segmentation.
- Create and maintain approved workflows, lead-nurturing journeys, internal notifications, lead routing, tasks and lead-scoring models.
- Administer contact and company properties, lifecycle stages, lead status, subscription types, communication preferences and marketing contact status in accordance with agreed processes.
- Maintain CRM and marketing data quality through controlled imports, field mapping, validation, duplicate management, record clean-up and regular data hygiene reviews.
- Monitor the performance of forms, workflows and standard integrations; troubleshoot first-line issues and escalate complex integration or platform problems.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports covering lead generation, source attribution, campaign performance, website conversions, email engagement, MQLs and marketing-to-sales handover.
- Support effective lead handover by ensuring agreed leads are routed promptly with the required information, ownership and internal notifications.
- Maintain clear documentation of properties, lists, workflows, campaign conventions, naming standards, test procedures and change history.
- Provide practical HubSpot support and basic user guidance to marketing and sales team members, and ensure campaigns and automation are tested and approved before activation.
Email Marketing & Lead Nurturing
- Prepare and build EDMs and automated communications in HubSpot using approved briefs, copy, templates and brand assets.
- Segment audiences and maintain distribution lists in line with approved targeting, consent, privacy and subscription requirements.
- Complete quality assurance covering content, links, personalisation, mobile display, sender details, suppression, routing and tracking before release.
- Schedule approved campaigns and monitor delivery, engagement, unsubscribes, conversions and follow-up actions.
- Maintain the email marketing calendar and recommend improvements to subject lines, content, calls to action, segmentation and nurture sequences based on results.
Analytics, Reporting & Optimisation
- Monitor and report on organic social, WordPress, HubSpot and email performance using HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and platform insights.
- Track agreed measures including audience growth, engagement, website traffic, landing-page and form conversion, email performance, lead generation, MQLs and campaign contribution.
- Prepare accurate monthly performance reports and concise recommendations for the Marketing Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct controlled tests of content, calls to action, forms, landing pages, emails and publishing approaches to improve engagement and conversion.
- Monitor competitor activity, platform changes and relevant digital marketing trends, and identify approved process, automation and reporting improvements.
Brand, Campaign & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work within our approved brand, messaging, tone-of-voice and content guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on priorities, campaign briefs, approvals and performance reporting.
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Specialist on paid campaign landing pages, SEO implementation, website integrations, analytics and complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with the Graphic Designer on social, website, email and campaign assets by providing complete briefs, copy, specifications and deadlines.
- Obtain accurate technical, product, project and customer information from Australian sales and operational stakeholders before publication.
- Support approved product launches, customer campaigns, online reviews, company announcements and other digital marketing initiatives.
- Maintain organised marketing content, campaign and digital asset records with effective version control, and undertake other related duties reasonably required within the scope of the position
Role Scope & Decision Rights
- The role may independently draft, build, schedule and publish routine content and campaigns that fall within an approved calendar, brief, template and approval process.
- Approval is required before publishing new technical or product claims, pricing, commercial commitments, customer case studies, major campaigns or sensitive communications.
- The role does not own marketing strategy, budget approval, paid advertising strategy, custom WordPress development, hosting or security, graphic design, photography or videography capture in Australia, contractual commitments, crisis communications or customer complaint resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in digital marketing, with substantial hands-on responsibility for content and marketing platforms.
- Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience administering HubSpot Marketing Hub in a working business environment.
- Demonstrated experience building HubSpot emails, forms, landing pages, lists, workflows, campaigns, lead-scoring models, dashboards and reports.
- Demonstrated experience managing WordPress websites and page builders, including landing pages, forms, media, menus, on-page SEO and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated experience producing B2B social media content, particularly for LinkedIn, and managing content calendars from brief through to publication.
- Experience with CRM data hygiene, segmentation, lead nurturing, lead routing and marketing-to-sales handover.
- Experience interpreting marketing performance data and turning findings into practical recommendations.
- Experience working collaboratively with designers, sales teams, subject-matter experts and managers, supported by a portfolio or work samples demonstrating relevant capability.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and demonstrated experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with demonstrated B2B copywriting, editing and proofreading capability.
- Suitable secure home-office environment, reliable high-speed internet, dependable computer equipment and practical backup arrangements for power and connectivity.
- Ability to work full-time with substantial overlap with Australian business hours and to attend scheduled video meetings.
Preferred
- Experience within B2B industrial, manufacturing, mining, engineering, construction or other technical sectors.
- Experience marketing technical products or services to Australian or international markets.
- Experience managing multiple brands and maintaining distinct content calendars, audiences and brand guidelines.
- Experience working remotely with Australian teams and stakeholders.
- Current HubSpot Marketing Software Certification and relevant HubSpot CRM, reporting or marketing automation certifications.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, UTM conventions and basic HTML and CSS.
- Experience using AI-enabled marketing and productivity tools to improve research, drafting, quality assurance, automation and reporting
- WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEO, content marketing or marketing automation training or certification.
- Additional qualifications in business writing, communications, data analysis or project coordination.
