Job Description

Support the Team Leader in managing the Wholesale Loans Operations Centre and ensuring the smooth execution of wholesale banking loan operations across overseas branches and booking locations.

The Assistant Vice President is responsible for the day-to-day operational management, ensuring timely and accurate processing of loan transactions, loan servicing activities, reconciliations, and associated reporting functions.
The incumbent acts as the deputy to the Team Leader and serves as the primary escalation point for operational matters, risk and control issues, client service matters and staff management in the Team Leader's absence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

i) Loans Operations

• Handle a full spectrum of Wholesale Banking loans processing operations in an approver and supervisory capacity, including loan disbursements, repayments, redemption, rollovers, restructuring and data maintenance of accounts
• Prepare and verify SWIFT messages related to loans and securities
• Ensure day to day transactions are promptly & accurately authorized and processed 
• Reconciliations and investigations
• Daily operations in accordance to MAS regulations and Bank policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the quality control process and implements corrective action when needed.
• Close communication with Credit & Admin Control Team of Branches (loan documents) and other stakeholders
• Act on behalf of the Team Leader during periods of absence, including operational decision-making, escalation management and stakeholder engagement.

ii) Management Support and Initiatives

• Compile and oversee regular and ad-hoc information for management reporting and monitoring of transactions processing and loan operations
• Develop and maintain procedures and manuals for Loan Operations.
• Proactive and seek opportunities to improve service processes, minimize operational risk and reduce costs
• Work in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders on operating procedures, projects, assignments and initiatives
• Liaison with auditors and furnish information and reports for audits 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• A degree holder
• 10 - 15 years’ experience in Banking with at least 5 years in corporate banking operations in a lead or supervisory position   
  • Good knowledge of banking practices, operations and procedures.
  • A self-starter and problem solver with initiative and a strong drive to achieve quality work
  • Strong team player and ability to foster teamwork
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable in data handling and analysis with Excel   
• Proficient in MS Office suite of applications
• Able to work rotating shifts (Including Singapore Public Holidays)

Day Shift: 9am to 6.30pm
Afternoon Shift: 3pm to 12.30am
Night Shift: 12am to 9.30am
