Reporting to the VP, Enterprise Resiliency for the firm, the Business Continuity Assistant Vice President is responsible for supporting the enterprise resiliency strategic vision and initiatives. The Business Continuity, AVP will provide leadership and direct support for the development, implementation, and ongoing evolution of the Firm’s comprehensive enterprise resiliency business continuity programs. The person in this role will lead efforts in translating program requirements for the business unit resiliency partners into actionable activities to establish or improve business continuity processes and controls, including business impact analyses, risk assessments, BCP testing, BCP quality reviews, supplier resiliency and provide crisis management support.

Responsibilities:

• Support and contribute to the maturation of the Enterprise Resiliency policy, strategies, processes, and procedures.
• Develop relationships and gain buy-in of business continuity and related Enterprise Resiliency Program objectives from key stakeholders, including business unit resiliency staff, Third-Party Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, and Technology Resilience.
• Provide leadership, consulting, and direct support in the execution of the Business Continuity Lifecycle (Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Plan Development, Testing) activities.
• Contribute to the development and execution of resiliency training to ensure preparedness.
• Participate in enterprise threat monitoring, and support event response, management, and crisis communications.
• Proactively self-identify resiliency risk issues, document risks, recommend corrective actions and mitigating controls.
• As assigned, conduct Third-Party business continuity assessments and review business continuity contract language
• Interface with internal support partners (IT, Supplier Risk, Compliance, etc.) to support the documentation and tracking of resiliency issue and gap remediation efforts.
• Contribute to the development of resiliency risk status reports on BIAs, continuity plans, response and resiliency testing, and crisis communications; prepare and distribute ad hoc, initiative-based, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
• Provide support and assistance in the response to actual or potential business disrupting events impacting the firm.
• Build and improve business continuity processes by gaining knowledge and incorporating best practices from internal and external sources.

Requirements:

• Bachelors’ Degree, and/or equivalent work experience in Financial Services, Technology, Consulting industries
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a resiliency (Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery)
• Licenses/Certifications: Business Continuity Certification Designation (MBCP, CBCP or BCI equivalent) or successful attainment of CBCP certification within first 6 months as a condition of employment,
• Familiarity with using BCP planning and incident management tools (preferably Archer GRC, Everbridge, NC4, GETS/WPS)
• Familiar with process, risk, and controls framework
