Job Description Summary

The Audio Visual (AV) Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of audio-visual equipment and meeting room technologies across the workplace. The role ensures that conference rooms, training facilities, event spaces, and collaboration areas operate efficiently to support business meetings, presentations, video conferencing, and corporate events for the assign project which is Empower Philippines

 

 

Job Description

About the Role:

• Set up, operate, and dismantle audio-visual equipment for meetings, conferences, training sessions, and company events.
• Manage and support video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
• Ensure meeting room AV systems are fully operational prior to scheduled meetings.
• Provide real-time technical support during meetings and events.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of AV equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to: Projectors, LED/LCD displays, Audio systems, Microphones, Amplifiers, Video conferencing systems, Digital signage, Control systems
• Escalate major technical issues to vendors or service providers when required
• Coordinate with Facilities and IT teams to ensure seamless operation of workplace technologies.
• Support office moves, reconfigurations, and installation of AV systems in new workspaces.
• Maintain AV assets and equipment inventory.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance activities and repairs.
• Track equipment utilization and asset inventory.
• Prepare reports on AV system performance and recurring issues.
• Coordinate with AV equipment suppliers and maintenance contractors.
• Track service tickets and vendor performance.
• Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met for AV-related support services.
• Provide technical assistance for events such as Town hall meetings, Executive presentations, Training programs, Client meetings, Corporate events, etc.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance activities and repairs.
• Track equipment utilization and asset inventory.
• Prepare reports on AV system performance and recurring issues.
• Conduct sound checks and equipment testing prior to events.
• Ensure AV installations comply with workplace safety standards.
• Follow company procedures for electrical and equipment safety.
• Support emergency response and business continuity requirements related to workplace technology.
• Spearheaded local and VC event operations, collaborated with developers to resolve software bugs, and maintained day-to-day AV system stability and performance.

About You:

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in:

Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Audio Visual Technology, Related field

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in AV systems support, facilities management, workplace services, or event technology. Experience supporting corporate offices and meeting room technologies is preferred.
