The GPC Global Technology Center team works on a wide range of projects assisting in areas such as e-commerce and data platforms, supply chain solutions, selling systems, and cyber security. This is home to a team of highly skilled IT engineers who are dedicated to driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions for GPC.

Position Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager & Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining release standards and processes as well as preparing and overseeing production deployments, communicating with clients, and proposing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Key Areas of Responsibilities for Release Management

• Define and Document Standards
  • Establish and document release and production change standards and ensure they are compliant with ITIL v3

• Process Alignment
  • Ensure alignment of release and change management processes across departments (incl. Compliance)
  • Coordinate dependencies within and between teams
  • Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement, proposing actionable solutions to enhance overall efficiency
  • Align with the AAG ITIL v3 standards as published by the EU CoE

• Documentation Ownership
  • Maintain and update Production Readiness Review (PRR) content, Confluence release templates and Communication templates

• Calendar Management
  • Own and publish the release and change calendar

• Communications Management
  • Communicate outcomes of meetings and results of releases/changes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding change initiatives, providing timely updates and addressing concerns

• Maintain RACI Lists
  • Keep RACI lists updated for all aspects of release, change, and communications.

Key Areas of Responsibilities for Release Coordination

• Liaison Role
  • Collaborate with Product and Development teams to determine release versions and dates.

• Content Management
  • Create and manage content on Confluence release pages.

• PRR Management
  • Create Production Readiness Review tasks and oversee reviews.
  • Ensure completion of each PRR item

• Meeting Coordination

• • Schedule Go/No-Go and release meetings, including the coordination of a release “war room”

• Publishing Results
  • Publish Go/No-Go results, outlining:
    • PRR review outcomes
    • Release contents
    • Risk and confidence statements

• Communications Management
  • Manage all release communications and channels during a release as per the Communications RACI framework.
  • Communicate upcoming changes and releases to the EU CAB

• Testing Evidence
  • Document and publish production testing evidence.
  • Declare releases as “positively released” or document reasons for aborted releases, including bugs raised and rollback results.

Expectations

• Proven experience as a Release Manager, Release Coordinator or similar role
• Ability to work outside of typical business hours (production deployments take place evenings CET time zone)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in project management tools (especially JIRA/Confluence)
