What We're Looking For

Every product we launch has to land somewhere in Finance — in the general ledger, in tax treatment, in liquidity forecasting, in reconciliation controls. This role makes sure that landing is planned in advance, not discovered after go-live.

As our New Product Planning Associate, you'll represent Finance from early product design through launch and stabilization. You'll scope and document downstream requirements, lead recurring integration calls with Product and Technology, and drive several workstreams to completion at once.

It's a highly visible seat. You'll build working relationships across Finance, Product, Technology, and Operations, and develop genuine end-to-end knowledge of how our products move money. It's a strong fit for someone organized, self-directed, and ready to own cross-functional execution without waiting to be told what's next.

Responsibilities:

Shape requirements early

• Partner with Finance and Product to identify and document downstream Finance requirements before a product is built, not after
• Own and continuously improve the new product checklist, and build detailed requirements documentation for each initiative

Assess Finance impact end to end

• Represent Finance as new products are integrated into our systems and processes
• Map how each product flows through accounting systems, general ledger mapping, tax treatment, liquidity, managerial accounting, and profitability reporting
• Develop a clear view of flow of funds and the accounting entries generated at each stage of the product lifecycle
• Flag reconciliation, monitoring, and control ownership early — before volume arrives

Drive integration to the finish line

• Lead recurring integration calls, building working knowledge of product mechanics and data flows, and driving action items to resolution
• Track open items, dependencies, and blockers, and escalate risks proactively
• Own documentation, trackers, agendas, recaps, and leadership status reporting for cross-functional working groups
• Identify inefficiencies and standardize the templates, workflows, and documentation practices the team runs on

Qualifications:

• 2+ years in product operations, project coordination, business analysis, accounting, or a similar cross-functional role
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
• Working accounting literacy: comfort with debits and credits, GL structure, and how transactions become journal entries
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with a track record of managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated initiative — you move work forward independently and escalate at the right moment
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools

Nice to Have:

• Experience in financial services, banking, or fintech — especially payments, lending, or embedded finance
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Experience with Workday Financials or a comparable ERP, including implementation or integration work
• Process and flow diagramming (Lucidchart, Visio), or basic SQL

Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
