We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Instructional Designer to join a dynamic Learning & Development team within a large corporate setting. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of innovative learning solutions. By leveraging adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies, you will create interactive training programs that drive performance, enhance employee capabilities, and align with overarching business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Design & Development: Build highly engaging, interactive e-learning modules, simulations, and blended learning materials using industry-standard authoring tools, specifically Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate.
- Instructional Strategy: Apply adult learning theory and established instructional design models (such as ADDIE and SAM) to conceptualize, structure, and deliver effective training solutions.
- Project Management: Independently manage the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple training projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery amidst competing priorities and deadlines.
- Program Evaluation: Design and implement robust program evaluation methodologies to measure learning impact, analyze training effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams to conduct needs analyses, gather content, and ensure learning objectives are effectively met.
- Communication: Act as a central point of contact for project updates, maintaining excellent communication and collaboration with all stakeholders throughout the design process.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, or Learning, Design, and Technology from a recognized and approved program.
Professional Experience: 3 to 5 years of direct experience in instructional design, program development, and training evaluation, specifically within a large-scale corporate environment.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated working proficiency and portfolio evidence of utilizing e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate).
Core Competencies: Deep understanding of adult learning principles and practical experience executing ADDIE and SAM methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Active professional certifications, heavily preferred:
- Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD)
- CIPD Level 5
- TESOL
- Advanced Instructional Design certifications
