As an Associate in our Infrastructure team, you will support the sourcing, execution and management of infrastructure investment opportunities. You will work within deal teams, driving financial modelling and due diligence processes, and helping manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, advisors and portfolio companies. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to deliver on complex transactions from origination to execution.
You will also contribute to the growth of the team and the development of its junior members.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Origination and Execution
- Support the identification and evaluation of new infrastructure investment opportunities
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with industry players, advisors and intermediaries to generate deal flow
- Prepare investment memos, presentations and recommendations for the Investment Committee
- Lead financial modelling, valuation and due diligence, and support structuring and negotiation of terms
Due Diligence
- Support comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, tax, technical, legal and commercial reviews
- Engage with and manage external advisors to ensure thorough evaluation of potential investments
- Assess market trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting investments
Portfolio Management and Value Creation
- Support the ongoing monitoring and performance evaluation of portfolio assets, including the development of value creation plans
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams to identify opportunities for operational improvements and strategic growth
- Contribute to asset management decisions, including refinancing, divestments or exit strategies
Team Integration
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on financial modelling, analysis and project execution
- Help foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Investor Relations and Fundraising
- Participate in industry events and investor meetings
- Assist fundraising efforts by preparing materials, meeting prospective investors and responding to their inquiries
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) or relevant certifications (CFA, CAIA) are a plus
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure investments, private equity or investment banking with top-tier institutions
- Strong financial modelling skills and experience with valuation techniques (DCF, LBO, comps, precedent transactions)
- Experience working on infrastructure transactions, including due diligence, structuring and execution
- Sound understanding of the infrastructure sector and its regulatory and macroeconomic environment
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including building and auditing complex financial models
- Robust analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to synthesise complex information and make sound investment decisions
- Strong communication and presentation skills, able to convey analysis clearly to senior stakeholders
- Strong organisational and project management skills, comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
