Sobre este puesto de Associate Director, Forensics Consulting en Control Risks

Control Risks · Presencial · London, England, United Kingdom

The Associate Director will help implement our Forensics strategy in the UK, leading the delivery of investigations, compliance reviews and forensic accounting assignments while supporting the growth of the business. Running projects with teams of two to four consultants on their own, or leading workstreams within major investigations, you will deliver high quality outcomes with limited senior input. You will build team capacity through technical excellence, coaching and developing more junior colleagues, and will devote a significant share of your time to business development. This role suits an accomplished forensic investigator and qualified chartered accountant with significant experience, strong delivery credentials, a growing client network and the ability to lead teams to consistently high standards.

Key responsibilities

Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of internal investigations, compliance reviews, forensic accounting assignments and other engagements in the UK and overseas, managing teams of two to four or larger workstreams within major investigations.
  • Deliver high quality outcomes largely independently, typically handling around 80 percent of engagement delivery with senior input on the remaining 20 percent.
  • Consistently meet the firm's standards for technical excellence, client service, delivery quality and commercial performance.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to clients on sensitive and complex matters, providing practical, commercially focused and defensible advice.

Leadership

  • Lead and motivate engagement teams, building capacity through technical excellence and clear direction.
  • Coach, mentor and develop junior colleagues through active engagement leadership, technical guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Review and challenge the work of team members to ensure analytical rigour, consistency and high-quality outputs.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that embraces different perspectives and encourages high performance, professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute specialist expertise to complex engagements across the wider Forensics practice.

Strategy and Market Development

  • Support the implementation of the Forensics strategy in the UK, contributing to growth by identifying market opportunities, strengthening positioning and helping to expand client relationships.
  • Work with senior colleagues and our dedicated sales team to develop and convert opportunities, with business development accounting for around 30 percent of the role.
  • Build and maintain relationships with buyers and influencers of Forensics services across target sectors with a view to originating work.
  • Help identify emerging client needs, regulatory developments and market trends, and translate these into practical business opportunities.
  • Represent the firm at client meetings, conferences and industry forums, enhancing its visibility and reputation in the UK market.
  • Contribute to proposals, marketing and other client facing activities that build strong, long-term relationships.

Requirements

Knowledge and experience

  • Significant experience conducting internal investigations and advising on fraud and corruption matters.
  • Proven ability to lead engagement teams and deliver high quality work with limited senior oversight.
  • Experience of building team capacity through coaching and technical development.
  • A track record of supporting business development and developing client relationships.
  • Takes pride in displaying a high level of attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to all tasks.

Qualifications and specialist skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Qualified chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent), ideally supported by further credentials such as the CFE.
  • Sound understanding of the use of technology in investigations.
  • A developing network of client contacts.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, e.g. UK Bribery Act, the US FCPA or Sapin II.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken; additional languages would be an advantage (e.g. French).

Benefits

  • Control Risks offers a competitively positioned compensation and benefits package that is transparent and summarised in the full job offer.
  • We operate a discretionary global bonus scheme that incentivises, and rewards individuals based on company and individual performance.
  • Control Risks supports hybrid working arrangements, wherever possible, that emphasise the value of in-person time together - in the office and with our clients - while continuing to support flexible and remote working.
  • As an equal opportunities employer, we encourage suitably qualified applicants from a wide range of backgrounds to apply and join us and are fully committed to equal treatment, free from discrimination, of all candidates throughout our recruitment process.

If you require any reasonable adjustments to be made in order to participate fully in the interview process, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate your needs.
