UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Key Responsibilities
1. Account Closure Governance & Execution
- Lead the end‑to‑end AML account closure workflow, ensuring timely, accurate, and well‑supported closure decisions.
- Ensure all closure recommendations meet regulatory expectations (e.g., MAS 626, FATF standards) and internal risk frameworks.
- Oversee proper documentation, justifications for each closure case.
2. Case Management & Escalation Handling
- Review closure actions from analysts and providing guidance and final approval where required.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on closure decisions.
3. Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as the central liaison for all AML account closure matters
- Communicate closure decisions professionally to Business Units and senior management.
- Partner with Frontline teams to mitigate customer friction while upholding standards.
4. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory obligations, including customer off‑boarding requirements and reporting timelines.
- Support L1.5, L2 and L3 inspections, internal audits, and thematic reviews involving account closures.
- Maintain accurate dashboards, MI reporting, and trend analysis for management oversight.
5. Process Improvement & Control Enhancements
- Continuously refine the account closure framework to strengthen risk detection and operational effectiveness.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and control issues; propose and implement corrective actions.
- Drive automation or digitalisation initiatives to streamline closure processes where feasible.
6. Team Leadership & Coaching
- Provide subject‑matter expertise to junior team members on AML risk, customer exit criteria, and regulatory standards.
- Promote a strong compliance and risk culture within the organization.
