This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys being in the field, coordinating multiple phases of a project, solving problems, and using technology to keep construction moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

AMLI is a vertically integrated real estate company that develops, builds, owns, and manages luxury apartment communities across the country. As an Assistant Superintendent, you'll work alongside experienced construction leaders and play an important role in bringing high-quality multifamily communities from the ground up.

What You'll Do

You'll be actively involved in day-to-day field operations, working with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to maintain quality, schedules, safety, and productivity.

• Coordinate and monitor daily construction activities, subcontractors, and field operations
• Assist with the planning and execution of multifamily construction projects
• Help manage framing and other major phases of construction from start through completion
• Coordinate subcontractors, punch-out staff, and laborers to keep work progressing according to schedule
• Develop, maintain, and monitor construction schedules and identify potential delays
• Coordinate material deliveries, including lumber, trusses, and other critical building materials
• Participate in procurement and project coordination meetings
• Monitor construction progress and provide regular updates to project leadership
• Coordinate siding, flashing, waterproofing, and other building-envelope activities
• Identify field issues and work collaboratively with project teams to develop solutions
• Utilize construction technology and project-management systems to track schedules, documentation, progress, and project information
• Help ensure subcontractors meet AMLI's expectations for quality, safety, cleanliness, and performance

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines field knowledge, technology skills, and strong scheduling abilities with the desire to continue growing in construction management.

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent construction field experience will also be considered
• Proficiency in construction scheduling is required
• Strong technology skills are required
• Multifamily construction experience preferred
• Wood-framing experience preferred
• Experience with construction technology and project-management platforms preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, materials, schedules, and field activities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling/project-management tools
• Experience with Procore Construction Management software is a plus
