Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Assistant Manager - Cost Accounting located in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like :

• Lead a team of 10-15 cost accountants along with Leads towards driving results.
• Conduct monthly performance review calls with controllers
• Conversant with the revenue recognition standards and accordingly, recognize/ de-recognize revenue as per revenue accounting policy
• Educate the team members on finance updates & accounting policies through classroom sessions
• Conversant with SOX compliances and checks – Monitor SOX checks for a site & to report them
• Drive & lead projects at department level
• Set review calls and meetings with site on improving the cost accounting metrics
• Review and conduct audits on SOPs and validation check lists in reports
• Review and approve all the journal entries posted by team members & make sure proper documentation as per SOX requirement is always made available
• Support internal and statutory audit on their requirement
• Monitor the inventory reconciliation for all sites and identify the root cause for the difference and to fix the issues in mapping
• Initiate trainings for new joiners in team through leads
• Maintain minimum attrition in team & timely recognize through rewards & recognition.
• Initiating calls with regional finance Directors and controllers to implement standardization across regions & work towards activity penetrations
• Work on presentations & reports including on regional performance on a quarterly basis to top management
• Workload balancing for the team to meet timely deadlines during month ends
• Day to day analytics to help management to take timely decisions
• Business acumen to understand customer business & improve the VOC
• Use AI integration in daily routine to enhance process improvements, leveraging its capabilities to optimize efficiency, reduce operational costs, and drive innovation within the organization.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 10–12 years of hands-on experience, people Manager 4-5 yrs experience.
• Good written & oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Should be flexible for day shift - 8AM – 5 PM & 11AM – 8AM.
• Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
