POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and Stewardship supporting Penn State Great Valley to cultivate and strengthen relationships with alumni, donors, students, volunteers, and partners, while advancing the campuses mission and fundraising priorities. As a member of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR), you can play an integral role in Penn State’s future and contribute to one of the most successful fundraising and alumni relations operations in the country.

This position will report to the Director of Campus Development and working closely with Great Valley staff, DDAR and Penn State Alumni Association colleagues, as well as other partners, the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and Stewardship's primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement alumni engagement programs, volunteer initiatives, and recognition opportunities;

  • Provide leadership for campus stewardship and endowment strategies and activities, including donor reporting, scholarship fund monitoring, and impact communications that strengthen donor engagement, foster relationships, and demonstrate philanthropic impact

  • Articulate Penn State’s needs, ambitions, and values through excellent informal and formal communications;

  • Build relationships with alumni through events, mentorship, advocacy, philanthropy, and volunteer service.

  • Create and execute donor, alumni, student, and community events, including networking, recognition, and fundraising programs.

  • Manage alumni awards programs and serve as liaison to local Penn State Alumni Association chapters.

  • Partner with campus leadership and University stakeholders to develop engagement strategies and innovative programming.

  • Collaborate with Strategic Communications to create content for newsletters, social media, websites, stewardship reports, and donor communications.

  • Identify and recruit alumni for participation in programs, events, Penn State Great Valley Alumni Society, and other student and alumni engagement opportunities.

  • Provide leadership and support to volunteers, student workers, and campus partners to promote a culture of engagement, philanthropy, and service.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None
