Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

· Apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

· Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.

· Assist with the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, including but not limited to timely account reconciliations and journal entry preparation with a focus on the asset portfolio.

· Monitor and analyze department work to develop department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintain a high level of accuracy.

· Interface with other departments to verify transaction report data and issues.

· Support handling of non-route reporting transactions.

· Respond to inquiries from the CEO regarding financial results, special reporting request

· Work with the retained audit firm to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.

· Support the financial reporting function to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

· Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.

· Work with direct report to establish performance goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in a mid-sized corporate accounting environment

Skills and Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

· Adequate technical accounting experience
