Assembler 3 Methuen/Valves Dept. 

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As Assembler 3 you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Make set-ups and adjustments holding tolerances to written instructions and established drawings. May be responsible for testing equipment and products. In this role, you will report to the Supervisor of Manufacturing and Operations.

• Perform a wide variety of mechanical assembly operations

·         Leak test assemblies

• Inspect parts and assemblies for appearance and cleanliness
• Perform a variety of other repetitive tasks
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills You Bring:

What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity is:

·         Good organizational and communication skills

·         0-3 Years Assembly experience

·         Ability to work from written instructions and established drawings

·         Able to work with a variety of hand tools

·         Must be able to work with a minimal amount of supervision

Preferred Skills: (Optional)

Proficiency in Oracle and Lean manufacturing preferred

• Highly motivated and able to function in a team-oriented manufacturing environment

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Occasionally moves/positions object up to 20 pounds
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 30% of the time
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
• The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
