Sobre este puesto de Area Veterinary Surgeon en Medivet
Are you looking to take the next step in your veterinary career, with a role that combines stability, flexibility and variety?
This Area Vet role is to work across eight clinics within an approximately 5-mile radius of Finchley, North London. At these clinics you would be supporting the teams in covering vet holiday, regular days off or vacancies, for example. It’s expected that much of the work is sole charge, so we are looking for someone with 4 – 5 years UK experience and confidence in consults and performing routine surgery independently.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable in different practice environments, and passionate about delivering high standards of small animal care. A positive outlook and the ability to work both as part of a team and in sole charge will be key to your success.
It’s a four-day week with every sixth weekend (Saturday and Sunday) at the Hendon 24Hr Hospital. All shifts are 9am to 7pm. As the work involves covering vets who are on holiday, your day off each week is changeable and may vary from week to week.
Additionally, our vets participate in the bank holiday and on-call rotas (expect on average three bank holiday shifts and three weeks of on-call a year).
The eight clinics are: Southgate, Muswell Hill, Fortis Green, Hampstead Garden Suburb, Temple Fortune, Kingsbury, Mill Hill and Hendon 24 Hr Hospital.
This unique position gives you the chance to experience the best of both worlds: the security of permanent employment, with the variety that comes from working across multiple practices. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of talented teams, manage a diverse portfolio of cases and contribute to the exceptional standards of care that Medivet is known for. It is a role that allows you to influence and inspire others while developing your own skills and clinical experience.
This is a rare opportunity to fast-track your career, broaden your experience and enjoy the support of an outstanding team behind you. If you are seeking a role that offers variety, progression and the chance to make a real impact, we would love to hear from you.
Your career means more than a rota and a job title, that’s why we offer:
