Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively identifying and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to troubleshooting, ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications that support business functions. The engineer collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and performance, continuously monitoring and analyzing system behavior to prevent disruptions and enhance overall efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of application issues and minimize business impact.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional growth.
- Continuously evaluate and improve support processes to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP for Oil & Gas Downstream.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities related to application support and troubleshooting.
- Experience in monitoring and maintaining enterprise-level software systems to ensure high availability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges.
- Familiarity with incident management and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to document issues and interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP for Oil & Gas Downstream.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
