About Lokal:

In 2018, we began with a WhatsApp group with a simple hypothesis: people in tier-2/3 towns weren’t really using the internet meaningfully yet. We believed that if we started with local content in their own language, they’d come back every day; once there was a habit and trust, that same space could naturally grow into classifieds and, eventually, something they used for almost everything online.

This spark became Lokal. Our first instinct was to put everything in one place & one app - local updates, classifieds, jobs, matrimony and more. It worked, till it stopped working. Users gave us the insight - when one use case outweighs the others, everything else seems like noise. We listened. Like how Craigslist quietly seeded a generation of focused companies & marketplaces, we began unbundling and verticalising.

Today, Lokal is a house of focused apps, many products, one mission:

About the Team:

The Product Team at Lokal operates as the engine driving our “house of apps” model. We work at the intersection of deep Bharat user insights, cutting-edge AI, and business strategy. As an Analytics Manager, you will lead a team of Product/Senior/Junior Analysts embedded within one or more product verticals, partnering directly with Product Managers and Engineering to turn data into decisions that scale engagement, monetization, and retention.

Role Overview:

As an Analytics Manager, you will lead a team of Product/Senior/Junior Analysts, own the analytics strategy and prioritization for one or more product verticals, and be directly accountable for the rigor and impact of your team's work — while staying technical enough to review, unblock, and step into the data yourself when it matters.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Growth: Hire, mentor, and manage a team of Product/Senior/Lead Analysts; own their career development and performance.
• Analytics Strategy & Prioritization: Decide what the team works on, balancing ad-hoc business asks against longer-term measurement infrastructure.
• Quality & Review: Review the team's analyses for methodological rigor before they reach leadership; catch flawed logic before it becomes a bad decision.
• Stakeholder Management at Scale: Sit with multiple product/business leaders, translate business goals into a measurement agenda, and manage expectations against team capacity.
• Operating Cadence: Own recurring metrics reviews, business reviews, and OKR-tracking rhythms for your area.
• Hands-On When It Matters: Stay technically sharp in SQL, product metrics, and experimentation to sanity-check the team's work and step in on high-stakes analyses.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5 - 10 years of experience in Analytics, including at least 2 years directly managing, mentoring, or leading a team of analysts.
• Strong foundation in SQL, product metrics, cohort analysis, and A/B testing — the same technical bar expected of the team you lead.
• Proven experience presenting analytics strategy and results to senior leadership.
• Hands-on experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Strong communication and people-management skills; able to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable building process and structure for a small, fast-moving team without over-engineering it.
• Bonus: experience building or scaling an analytics function / team from a small base, Social Media / Internet B2C sector experience, and exposure to large-scale data tools (BigQuery, Spark).
